Staying out late and sleeping all day makes Walker a very contented cat. And a contented cat makes for a happy pet sitter.

Tiny Boots

Tiny loves being outside more than anything, but his generous nature keeps him checking on me throughout the day. A few minutes next to me on the couch is all he can handle before heading back out, but I so appreciate his thoughtfulness.

There is very little in life more satisfying than showing a catnip mouse who is really in charge.

Buddy

It's a four mile walk round trip to Pharmaca, a short jaunt by Buddy's standards, but it's one of his favorites. The minute he walks into the store the collective roar of "Buddy!", is just as satisfying as any 10 mile hike. Staff and customers alike gather around him to pet and ooh and aah over him. If treats are brought around, so much the better, but it's really the love that keeps him coming back.

Max loves to start off his day with Charlie Rose - so important to keep up with current affairs.

No matter the weather outside, with his bright and  cheerful disposition, in Takai's house it's always a sunny day.

Wayha is so gorgeous, with such luscious fur, people simply cannot resist stopping to pet her. She is not particularly interested in their overtures, especially in this heat, but she understands the responsibility that comes with great beauty, and always graciously pauses for a brief moment to be fawned over before gliding on her way.

It's a steamy 82 degrees outside today, crazy weather for normally cool San Francisco, and my (3 out of 4)Elsie St cats know there's only one sane way to deal with it - just chillax man! I think smart Sarabe is probably chilling under the bed.

Although I've been up for an hour, after our late night watching scary cat TV, Finn cannot get out of bed. Guess it's time to start frying some bacon - I bet that will motivate him to start the day!

Finn is spending his Saturday night in the most exciting way, watching marathon episodes of My Cat from Hell. So utterly terrifying!

Mr. Late Night

Tiny Boots was out last night catting around until well after midnight, much to my dismay. There are hungry foxes out there too! And now this morning he just can't seem to wake up. What a life!

Max listens intently at story time. He loves all stories, even dog stories, but his favorites are the ones that feature heroic cats, particularly when the heroic cat is named Maxwell.

Bruno really understands the restorative powers of the morning/afternoon/evening nap.

What could be more pleasant after a long rainy night, than a leisurely morning stroll through a damp and fragrant Holly Park?

A recent adoptee from Mexico, Maya has displayed an amazing ability to adapt to the good life.

Mercie doesn't mind waiting in line at Dynamo Donuts on 24th St because she knows once it's her turn she gets one of their delicious cornmeal and bacon fat dog donuts - yum!
The only drawback? One is never enough!

Even with all this windy rain, and yes, hail too, Tiny Boots insists the manly thing to do is to spend at least part of the day outside. But I keep a close eye on the door for when he's had enough.
